The nine luxury thatched and tented forest casinhas are nestled in the canopy of the coastal forest just a few steps away from the secluded white sand beach.
Each Casinhas,(meaning little home in Mozambican) on stilted wooden decks, enjoys its own stretch of beachfront.
Designed for the guests enjoyment it comprises: a well stocked mini-bar and beverage station, luxury indoor and outdoor showers and a private dining deck en-suite.
They are made of natural materials by local craftsmanship. The furnishing is simple and functional with fine linen. The thatch and canvas design takes advantage of the cooling Ocean breezes and the canvas sides can be rolled up to truly get in touch with the natural and wild surroundings.

Chemucane Tourism Company, a joint venture between the Chemucane Community and the Bell Foundation built and operates Anvil Bay creating benefits in terms of skills, jobs and the purchases of local materials, products and services.
A levy of $7.50 per person per night is paid to the community.
Concession fees, which are included in the rate, support the conservation efforts in the Maputo Special Reserve.
